Melanie Sallis is a highly talented artist based in Austin, Texas. She works in variety of media ranging from colored pencil to acrylic. Perhaps her favorite medium, however, is oil paint. She has had a number of shows in Austin and is looking to expand her representation further afield.
Melanie's artwork is expressive, demonstrating a huge range of emotional complexity. Every piece of art she creates expresses an inner dynamic brought forth with feeling and intensity using color and contrast as the channel for manifestation on the canvas.
On this site you will find a several galleries representing the different media which Melanie works with. Illustration contains her illustrative work and sketches as well as preliminary studies for more complex pieces. Mixed displays mixed media works as well as sculpture and collage.
